I love photographing The Mere Golf Resort and Spa weddings, the building is excellent, the staff great and so many grounds to have photos. Kate got ready at The Mere before travelling into the centre of Manchester to have their wedding service at King’s Church. Occasionally (usually actually) the priest or vicar conducting a church service puts restrictions on my movements for photography, this wasn’t the case for Matt and Kate’s wedding because it was Matt’s dad who conducted the service. It main the service very personal and special to them both.
After the service we headed back to Cheshire to The Mere Golf Resort and Spa where their wedding reception was held. We went to have some beautiful photos in the long grass by the fairway and down by the Mere. Thank you to the staff for loaning us two golf carts to ship us around to locations easily. After a delicious meal and some very funny speeches I noticed the sun was starting to set and produce a glorious warm cast of light. Kate and Matt agree to walk down the first tee for a few more photos and it was well worth it! Some gorgeous silhouette photos and well as some fun dancing shots in the fairway like the one above.
To Matt and Kate, a beautiful wedding and thank you for asking me to be part of your special day. A pleasure to be part of it all and to get to know so many family members. Looking forward to making you a an album to cherish for the rest of your lives. Best wishes, David
