Lake District Proposals

Are you looking to propose to your partner in the Lake District?

I’m a photographer and it has been my pleasure to photograph many proposals in and around the Lakes over the years. Below will hopefully give you some ideas of the the most beautiful spot to propose, and if you are looking to have it photographed then I would love to hear from you. I offer 4 proposal packages explained in the middle section..

The best location, in my opinion is…

Blea Tarn – the best Lake District proposal location

Set in the heart of the Langdales is one of my favoruite spots anywhere in the world. This small Lake or Tarn is far enough away from some of the hectic hustle and bustle of the Lake District. Assuming you are looking to propose away from this businesses then this could be the perfect location for you. This location has it all, firstly with a car park very close by, but the picturesque scenery is the main draw. With the tarn immediately behind you, and beyond that the grandeur of the Langdale fells makes this one of the ideally spots to bend down on one knee.

Let’s start with the story of Tim and Robyn.

All the proposals below where taken without the person being proposed to knowing I was there. I don’t hide in a bush as many have asked me, but just chill on the grass, or path, and act like any other Lake District goer. My camera is in my hand ready for the moment. Tim and Robyn’s story was different as Tim had pretended he had booked a ‘couples shoot’ for them whilst on holiday. So actually she knew I was around, and taking photos, before he proposed. Proposal Only

This includes a Zoom call prior to the day to discuss the location and logistics. I will arrive before the agreed time, and photograph the proposal itself.

Proposal plus 45 mins of couple photograph

As the title suggests, this is exactly as the proposal only package, but afterwards we will spend 45 minutes together getting some incredible Lake District photos with you both within the immediate area of the proposal.

Proposal plus 2 hours of couples photographs, over 2 locations

Again, exactly as it says on the tin, this would be photography of the proposal, then photos afterwards together over a couple of different locations. Included in this time is travel time up to 30 minutes from the initial location. I know some great spots we can visit… Coniston, Tarn Hows, Hodge Close, to name a few.

Bespoke

Anything goes! Want me up the top of Helvellyn? What me out on the water on my paddle board? Want me to spend all day with you and travel many different locations around the Lakes District? Just get in touch as I am open to anything.
