Destination wedding photography
I hope you enjoyed looking through the photos from first day of this incredible wedding. It was a three day Indian destination wedding on the island of Zanzibar. See first first day here: Blue Bay Resort Wedding Photographer. Suhi and Jits asked me to fly out with them on their destination wedding, could I say no? – absolutely not. This was by far the hardest I have ever worked at a wedding. The heat, the sun, the mosquitoes… but worth every second. Below are just a few shots from the day.
The day took part in an upper area of the resort away from the beach. A stage was set-up at one end of the room and alongside it is where the Indian wedding rituals took place. This was a long day, but one I wanted to capture well. The colours at an Indian wedding are just stunning, but difficult to showcase. Couple this with the incredible destination location and it was one of the most magical spectacles I had ever witnessed. Once again, Sui ended up in the pool. This time she had little choice and was thrown in.
Indian wedding celebration and party
In the evening it was time for dancing and a good party. Most the girls had Henna applied. Suji having her main wedding henna done. But then it was just all about having a good time. Suji’s dad was the party animal – ha, and closely followed by Jits.
What a day, I have really struggled to write the above because it’s so hard to communicate it in words. This was one special Indian destination wedding, a fabulous location, great people and a photographers dream – I loved every second of this wedding. Enjoy looking through the pictures.
